Many people claim that a young person is nothing without a diploma, however this statement is wrong. Recently more and more people have quit college and started their own business. Businessmen who dropped out of college are:
RALPH LAUREN
Net worth: $5.8 billion.
He only finished two years of college. Forbes described him as “the man who made American fashion cool”
MARK ZUCKERBERG.
Net worth: $66 billion.
Left Harvard after his sophomore year to focus on Facebook.
BILL GATES.
Net worth: $102 billion.
Gates is considered “Harvard’s most successful dropout.” He left the university during his sophomore yearin 1975 and founded Microsoft.
STEVE JOBS
Net worth: $10.2 billion.
Jobs dropped out of Reed College to become the father of all things Apple. Jobs is said to have made artists, instead of geeks, love computers too.
And many more…
What this fact is saying is that it is risky, although if you have a good idea for your business career it is worth a shot. College is not all about diploma, it is about learning new topics and growing as a person. it is totally up to you whether you want to go there or not. people around you should not push you and should not make decisions for you.
Elon Musk once said: ‘ I think going to college is entirely optional. if you got a good idea, I would say drop out and try it out. you can always go back to college. It will always be there, opportunity won’t.’
This infographic, created by Funders and Founders designer Anna Vital, pinpoints the moments when some of the most successful millionaire and billionaire college dropouts decided higher ed wasn’t for them.
