Final Transnational Project Meeting in Lithuania

The closing phase of the 2-years Erasmus+ project M.O.T.H.E.R. (Mobility Opportunity Training for a Higher Employment Rate) is approaching and it’s time to draw conclusions.

The final 4th Transnational Project Meeting was held in Kaunas, the second city of Lithuania to hold the European Capital of Culture title, on 7-8 July 2022. The meeting was hosted by Aktyvistai, the lithuanian partner of a varied consortium made up of 6 countries (Italy, Portugal, North Macedonia, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania) and it was a crucial moment to evaluate and review the project success.

During the one and a half day long meeting, after the reporting run by JUMP partners had the opportunity to discuss the next steps before the end of the project, the final dissemination and use of results phase. Moreover, the team leaders discussed the last outstanding issues, shared comments and feedback on the previous activities implemented and the results achieved with the e-learning platform “M.O.T.H.E.R. Social Platform for Business of Youths”.

During the visit, the partners had the opportunity to meet different Lithuanian realities that contribute to the creation of an entrepreneurship culture among youth.

It’s the case of KTU STARTUP SPACE, a startup incubator encouraging young entrepreneurs to make their dreams come true. More than 90 startups have been established since it was founded, thanks to a unique space that offers access to resources of Kaunas University of Technology and a magnificent network for faster startup development.

The Lithuanian startup ecosystem includes also Kaunas Science and Technology Park, which helps startups to increase their competitiveness with acceleration and mentoring programs. Partners had access to the exhibition area where innovations and new technologies, along with the creativity of the inventors, are promoted.

Kaunas has a dynamic scene of businesses as shown by different meetings with several young entrepreneurs. An interesting interview with the CEO of What About, an innovative advertising agency, a nice exchange of ideas with the founder of Telesoftas, a business born in the head of a 20 year old student that now has offices all around the world and then a special lunch in the family-run Meet4Meat food truck.

We can say that a lively exchange of ideas prepared the project closure!
