JUMP Gioventù in riSalto is the formal leader of M.O.T.H.E.R. Project and the team is very proud to have 5 great partners from North Macedonia, Greece, Portugal, Hungary and Lithuania.
The origin of this project is a nice and curious story. The idea was born from the project writer Erika Gerardini in Skopje in January 2017. It was the occasion of a Transnational Project Meeting organized by the Macedonian partner. That January it was snowing and the city was calm, cold but at the same time, active and with a warm atmosphere.
The title M.O.T.H.E.R. has been inspired by a fountain in the middle of Skopje city center dedicated to women and mothers.
There’s another reason behind the title which is the acronyim of Mobility Opportunity Training for a Higher Employment Rate.
The mother is the motherland, the roots which we want to keep in our local contexts and the strength coming from our families. For young people the family and the community have to be strong points of reference. The keywords represents the actuality and the internationalization process of the project. It’s a bottom up approach, from local to global. This is M.O.T.H.E.R. in its inner sense.
